About the Author:
Norma
Jennings is an educator, humanitarian, ordained minister and recognized
leader in the fields of spiritual development and community empowerment.
Her ministry is devoted to teaching people from all walks of life how to
incorporate spiritual principles into daily living. Over the past 12
years, she has helped hundreds of men and women transform their lives by
offering them practical applications for age-old wisdom teachings. She
has extensive experience in regenerating families in crisis, treating and
preventing substance abuse, rehabilitating the incarcerated, and easing the
suffering of those with terminal illnesses. Her work embraces a variety
of spiritual traditions and incorporates many of the healing rites of Guyana,
her native country.
Reverend Jennings' goal of raising humanity's spiritual consciousness
emerged from a near death experience in 1966 and is currently being realized
through the Light and Living Series, a nationwide network of spiritual
information providers that she founded and coordinates. She is actively
engaged in lecturing and conducting workshops based on the Series' core
philosophy of love and empowerment as the keys to higher levels of spiritual
awareness and the bedrock of healthy communities. In 1999 she received
the prestigious Linowes Leadership Award from the Community Foundation for the
National Capital Region for her contributions to community building in the
Washington, DC area. Reverend Jennings lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland
and works as a consultant to a wide range of service-oriented organizations
across the country. She is the mother of five and grandmother of four.
