TOUCHSTONES To Remembering Your Spirit is an insightful blend of memoir, folk tradition, and practical spirituality that offers accessible ways of nourishing the inner life for both beginners and long time spiritual aspirants.  In seven succinct and highly informative chapters, the book demystifies the spiritual life and details the essential steps that lead to higher consciousness and a full and abundant life.  Here, distilled within the pages of this concise book, is the collected wisdom of a diverse range of philosophies and perspectives and sound advice for integrating spiritual disciplines into the routines of daily life.

Beginning with her earliest spiritual awakening, the author provides an intimate account of her own unique journey while instructing us on how to establish and maintain an ever-deepening connection with our divine center.  Each chapter expands -- and in some cases redefines -- the reader's understanding of the these topics:  self-discovery, understanding the mind-body-spirit connection, forgiveness, accessing the subconscious, prayer, meditation, and contemplation, the rhythm of relationships, and the power of love.  Through stories, reflections, and descriptions of the customs of her homeland, Guyana, South America, we also learn the benefits to be derived from simple, yet profoundly effective spiritual practices such as fasting, walking in silence, communing with nature, and working with the energy of stones.

Written with honesty, humor, and clarity, it reveals to readers exactly what they need to know to develop spiritually without overwhelming them with too much information or demands for difficult lifestyle changes.  The book can be read in one sitting and then referred to again and again for guidelines and encouragement along the way.

TOUCHSTONES To Remembering Your Spirit will inspire millions of seekers toward the inner journey to peace and enlightenment.  It offers a prescription to spiritual emptiness that anyone can understand and follow.
